Description
GMR 604 xHD is an open matrix radar scanner. Garmin has created this product that focuses on the pulse of the transmitter to provide more energy in the goal to achieve.
The configuration of this team is double range displayed simultaneously, through two divided screens. As for the speed of tracking, it is faster than the equipment of the previous version. Also, the resolution of the video is four times sharper than other similar devices. The dimensions of the unit are 20.5 x 12.75 x 12.5in (52 x 32.4 x 31.8cm) and its weight is 45.9 lb (20.8kg). The transmission power is 6kW.
If you have 10 MARPA targets, you can trace the radar and prevent collisions from occurring. Among the characteristics of the device it stands out horizontal beam width GMR 604 xHD 1.8 ° and GMR 606 xHD: 1.1 ° while the vertical beam width is 25 °. In addition, you will reach a maximum range of 72nm, minimum range of 20 meters, dual rotation range 24/48 rpm. One of the accessories that can be integrated is the heading sensor, which is sold separately.
Combining high-end performance and high-definition digital imaging technology at a truly affordable price, the GMR 404 xHD radar brings new value and clarity to this segment of Garmins open array lineup.
Everything Looks Better in xHD
This 4 ft (1.22 m) scanner with a 4 kW radar transmitter uses the latest in high-definition digital signal processing to deliver a dramatically sharper and clearer radar picture – with improved range resolution, target separation and clutter removal on the display.
The advanced xHD electronics yield nearly 8 times more signal processing bandwidth than predecessor designs. So, you can count on improved resolution and target separation, plus better detection and presentation of small or distant returns that might go undetected on traditional analog radar systems.
When installed with Garmins GPSMAP 6000 or 7000 series network multifunction displays, the GMR 404 xHD also can display images in full color, using a multi-hued spectrum (in much the same way that your sonar fishfinder does) to indicate radar return strength or target density.
Thus, whether its birds, rocks, buoys, structures or other boat traffic on the water, youll see more of whats out there when you scan with the GMR 404 xHD.
Its maximum range is 72 nm, and the selectable 24/48 RPM rotation speeds let you adapt the scan to various sea, weather or situational conditions. Optional MARPA target tracking also is supported, when installed with a Garmin heading sensor.
Easy Network Integration
The GMR 404 xHD transmits data over the Garmin Marine Network, a high-speed, plug-and-play proprietary network that makes it easy to expand your boats system with the latest capabilities.
Since all radar signal processing is contained in the remote antenna/scanner, any network-compatible Garmin chartplotter can double as your radar screen.
In fact, you can overlay the GMR 404 xHD radar image on the chartplotters map page as an aid to situational awareness.
And Garmins handy Dual Range feature enables your compatible chartplotter/MFD to display 2 range scans at once, so you can view close and distant targets simultaneously.
