Introducing the range of Athena piston lines for 4-stroke off-road motorcycles.
Athena pistons are manufactured using a special high-performance aluminium alloy, with a backward extrusion forging process. Developed and designed in Italy by the Athena R&D Department, Athena Pistons must pass several bench tests and track sessions to achieve the highest level of performance and reliability.
The technical solutions and quality standards are equal to or better than those used in OE productions. A special silk-screened molybdenum disulphide sintered coating is applied on the piston skirt. This allows to increase smoothness, performance and durability, reducing friction and noise. The piston rings, included in the kit, are state-of-the-art components, manufactured in Japan, produced in special steel with PVD coating or chromium nitrides. They are developed to perfectly fit the cylinder walls even with low tangential load.
The proven quality of Athena pistons is offered at an extremely affordable price. The performance guarantee should not apply to products intended for competitive sports use that are used in high performance or high speed applications, unless there is a clear case of failure.
